Terms of Use

Last Updated: September 30, 2026

Welcome to the website of Brickhaven.Legal, LLC dba TopCity Defense (“TopCity Defense,” “Firm,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use this website.

1. Informational Purposes Only

The materials and information provided on this website are for general informational purposes only. They are not intended to provide legal advice regarding any specific matter or circumstance.

Laws, court rules, procedures, and legal interpretations can change, and the application of law depends upon the particular facts and circumstances of each matter. We do not guarantee that information on this website is complete, current, or applicable to your situation.

You should not act or refrain from acting based solely upon information contained on this website.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your use of this website, including viewing its content, submitting a contact or consultation form, sending an email or text message, scheduling a consultation, or otherwise communicating with TopCity Defense, does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.

An attorney-client relationship is established only when TopCity Defense expressly agrees in writing to represent you and any required engagement agreement has been completed and other conditions of representation have been satisfied.

Until that occurs, you should not assume that TopCity Defense represents you or is protecting your interests, monitoring deadlines, appearing in court on your behalf, or taking any other action concerning your matter.

3. Communications and Confidential Information

Contacting TopCity Defense does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship.

Until an attorney-client relationship has been established, you should avoid sending highly sensitive, confidential, or time-sensitive information through the website or unsolicited communications.

Information submitted to us may be used to evaluate whether we are able and willing to consider representation, including conducting conflict checks. Submission of information does not obligate TopCity Defense to represent you.

If your matter involves an upcoming court appearance, filing deadline, statute of limitations, administrative deadline, or other time-sensitive issue, you remain responsible for protecting your rights unless and until TopCity Defense expressly agrees to represent you.

4. No Guarantee of Results

Descriptions of legal matters, case outcomes, strategies, experience, or other information appearing on this website are not guarantees or predictions regarding the outcome of any particular matter.

Every legal matter is different, and results depend upon the specific facts, applicable law, evidence, court, opposing parties, prosecutors, agencies, and numerous other circumstances.

Past results do not guarantee or predict future results.

5. Jurisdiction and Legal Services

TopCity Defense is based in Topeka, Kansas. The availability of legal services may depend upon the jurisdiction, type of matter, attorney licensure, conflicts of interest, and other considerations.

Information on this website is not intended to constitute the unauthorized practice of law in any jurisdiction.

6. Consultations and Engagement

TopCity Defense may offer free or paid consultations depending upon the type and format of the consultation. Any applicable consultation fee will be disclosed at the time of scheduling.

These terms apply to all consultations, whether conducted by telephone, video, in person, or through another method, and whether offered free of charge or for a fee.

A consultation is an opportunity to discuss your situation, receive an initial assessment of your matter and potential options, and determine whether TopCity Defense may be able to assist you. Scheduling, paying for, or participating in a consultation does not mean that TopCity Defense has agreed to represent you and does not guarantee that the Firm will accept your matter.

An attorney-client relationship for representation beyond the consultation is created only after TopCity Defense agrees to accept your matter, a written engagement agreement is signed, and any required initial fee or payment is received.

Unless and until an attorney-client relationship is established, TopCity Defense has no obligation to take action on your behalf, including entering an appearance, contacting another party, investigating your matter, preserving evidence, or monitoring or meeting any court, administrative, filing, appeal, or other deadline. You remain responsible for protecting your rights and meeting all applicable deadlines.

TopCity Defense may decline representation for any lawful reason, including conflicts of interest, scheduling or capacity limitations, jurisdiction, the nature of the matter, timing, or other considerations.

Information provided in connection with a consultation will be handled in accordance with applicable rules governing prospective clients and attorney confidentiality. A conflicts review may be required before the Firm can accept your matter. You should not send documents or highly sensitive information unless requested.

Any discussion during a consultation concerning potential strategies, outcomes, or other aspects of your matter reflects an initial assessment based on the information available at that time and is not a promise or guarantee of any particular result.

Paid Consultations

Fees paid for a consultation compensate TopCity Defense for the attorney's time in preparing for, evaluating, and discussing your matter. Payment of a consultation fee does not retain TopCity Defense for further representation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, consultation fees are not credited toward fees for future representation.

If you fail to attend a paid consultation without canceling or rescheduling in advance, you may reschedule the consultation one time without paying an additional consultation fee. The fee previously paid will be applied to the rescheduled consultation.

If you fail to attend the rescheduled consultation, the consultation fee will be forfeited and is non-refundable. Any subsequent consultation will require payment of a new consultation fee.

TopCity Defense may reschedule or cancel a consultation when necessary. If the Firm cancels a paid consultation and a mutually acceptable alternative time cannot be arranged, the consultation fee will be refunded.

7. Website Forms and Electronic Communications

We may provide forms, scheduling tools, email links, text messaging, chat functionality, or other electronic methods of communication for your convenience.

Electronic communications may involve third-party service providers and may not always be secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Submitting information through these systems does not guarantee receipt or establish an attorney-client relationship.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

This website may contain links to or utilize services provided by third parties, including scheduling providers, payment processors, communications providers, maps, social media platforms, legal directories, or other services.
